Personal Injury

If you’ve been a victim of a personal injury accident, your foremost priority should be to seek our chiropractic care for high-quality treatment as soon as possible.  Personal injury most commonly happens after a car accident (motor vehicle accident – MVA) or worker’s comp injuries.

What Is Personal Injury?

Personal injury is legal jargon that references any injury to someone’s person rather than their property. Personal injury law seeks to compensate the victim for the defendant’s intentional actions that have caused harm to the plaintiff.

Why Should I See a Chiropractor After a Personal Injury Accident?

Seeing a chiropractor immediately following an accident greatly improves your chances to recover full mobility in your joints as well as significantly lessens your chances of sustaining long-lasting soft tissue damage.  This is true even if you don’t immediately experience pain in a personal injury.

Chiropractic physicians are the most sought-out practitioners by victims of personal injury because of their array of physical medicine services (chiropractic, physiotherapy) as well as their ability to coordinate diagnostic imaging and medical referral when necessary.

Your chiropractic treatment can determine what type of monetary compensation you receive from your lawsuit, as well as your overall well being and recovery time. The insurance company responsible for your financial compensation will evaluate the treatment you receive, which is why it is incredibly important for you to choose a chiropractor with an excellent reputation of providing unrivaled treatment and care.  Our offices are preferred providers for many local attorneys.

At Chiro Source, your chiropractor will focus on restoring your mobility and strengthening your muscles so that your entire body is stable again. It’s very common for personal injury accidents to affect the spine of the neck and back.  Even if you present with no symptoms now, your chiropractic assessment will determine how you are treated to avoid complications in the future.

What Constitutes a Personal Injury Accident?

Personal injury accidents include motor vehicle accidents (cars, trucks, and motorcycles), accidents involving slips, trips, and falls, and accidents that occur at work.

It’s very common for accidents like these not to present stiffness, soreness, loss of mobility, pain, and discomfort for days or weeks after the accident.

How Much Do I Need to Pay Upfront?

Victims of Personal Injury typically do not pay for their care.  Our office will coordinate the benefits with the at-fault party’s liability insurance and will work hand-in-hand with any involved attorney(s).  It is a goal of our clinics to make this as seamless as possible for personal injury victims.  The last thing a victim should worry about directly after an injury is up fronting the cost for their care.

What if I am At Fault for the Accident?

If you were injured in an accident and you were the at-fault party, you should absolutely still have our skilled doctors evaluate your condition.  Accidents happen and you shouldn’t suffer needlessly.  Oftentimes patients that were at-fault for their accident do not pay out-of-pocket for their own care even when at fault.  Most auto insurance companies have “Medical Payments” (AKA MedPay) that covers your care with no co-pay or deductible.  In rare cases where that is not available, our office will evaluate your commercial health insurance benefits at no cost to you.  We really do want to make getting care and helping you “become whole” again a priority!
